KZN Christian Council Update | 30 June 2026
🙏 THE CHURCH IS ON THE GROUND🙏
KZN Christian Council Update | 30 June 2026
South Africa is in a hectic phase. Immigration tensions, poverty, unemployment, and fear have left many families hurting. But the Church will not be silent.
Here’s how KZNCC is responding RIGHT NOW:
- WE ARE PRAYING & ACTING
We stand firm: Undocumented immigration is a government issue, but poverty and suffering are a human issue. While we call for urgent government action, we are also on the ground with compassion. - HUMANITARIAN RELIEF HAS STARTED
We are calling on all people of goodwill for donations:
Blankets. Tinned food. Medication. Sanitary packs.
These are going directly to displaced migrants and citizens who’ve been affected by the crisis.
- CRISIS COMMITTEES ESTABLISHED
- KZN Provincial Crisis Committee formed with delegates from all 11 districts + legal, medical & migrant reps to coordinate relief daily.
- uMgungundlovu District Crisis Committee is already at work from 41 Havelock Street, Pietermaritzburg, assisting displaced people and citizens in need.
