KZNCC, in partnership with UKZN Runres, has begun implementing a project at Bishopstowe Farm aimed at strengthening knowledge exchange across the food and agriculture value chain.

The initiative seeks to address community challenges, scale innovation, and create sustainable livelihoods.
Vulindlela Ward 1 Councillor and UMDM’s Head of Economic Development, Ms Jabu Ngcobo, emphasized the project’s potential to address pressing municipal needs and contribute to broader development.
Professor Six outlined the project’s background and objectives, noting that success depends on the active input of stakeholders. Participants engaged in a social network survey, participatory systems mapping, and discussions to shape priorities for implementation.
