🙏 THE CHURCH IS ON THE GROUND🙏

KZN Christian Council Update | 30 June 2026

South Africa is in a hectic phase. Immigration tensions, poverty, unemployment, and fear have left many families hurting. But the Church will not be silent.

Here’s how KZNCC is responding RIGHT NOW:

  1. WE ARE PRAYING & ACTING
We stand firm: Undocumented immigration is a government issue, but poverty and suffering are a human issue. While we call for urgent government action, we are also on the ground with compassion.
  2. HUMANITARIAN RELIEF HAS STARTED
We are calling on all people of goodwill for donations:
Blankets. Tinned food. Medication. Sanitary packs.
These are going directly to displaced migrants and citizens who’ve been affected by the crisis.

  1. CRISIS COMMITTEES ESTABLISHED
  • KZN Provincial Crisis Committee formed with delegates from all 11 districts + legal, medical & migrant reps to coordinate relief daily.
  • uMgungundlovu District Crisis Committee is already at work from 41 Havelock Street, Pietermaritzburg, assisting displaced people and citizens in need.
  1. HOW YOU CAN HELP TODAY
    Donate in Cash:
KZNCC Provincial Crisis Fund | FNB | Acc: 63096125107 | Branch: 210554 | Swift: FIRNZAJJ

  2. DISTRICTS: RISE UP
All other KZN districts are urged to form District Crisis Committees so we can coordinate faster and reach more families.

This is who we are. In crisis, the Church shows up.
We pray. We feed. We clothe. We stand together.
