KZNCC supported the Zondi Traditional Council's Annual Prayer at KwaMpumuza — an ecumenical witness alongside traditional leadership in the uMgungundlovu District.
The Blue Communities Project promotes water as a shared commons — recognising water and sanitation as human rights, and supporting publicly financed, owned and operated water services.
Promoting the critical role of traditional leaders in bridging cultural heritage with contemporary governance and ecumenical structures — fostering collaboration to meet community needs effectively.
Humanitarian rapid response. In the immediate aftermath of a disaster, KZNCC sends out responders to assist those in need in difficult-to-reach locations — distributing food, water, hygiene packs and shelter.
A programme tailor-made to help Pietermaritzburg street dwellers cope with their trauma — through outreach, nutritional support, and the healing presence of music and art.
Promoting the full integration of persons with disabilities in churches — affirming that every person is made in God's image and possesses inherent dignity to be equally respected.
Initiated in 2022, this project aims at fostering church unity among formerly black and white Lutheran churches — resuming unity talks that were interrupted in 2008.
